Tomato and mozzarella salad

This is a very simple and delicious side. The other night we grilled steak and I just wanted a simple dish to serve with the meat, this one is so yummy.

I sliced fresh mozzarella and baby heirloom tomatoes. I sprinkled salt and pepper over them and then drizzled on the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I chilled it for a bit and then served it cold.

  1. This was one of my favourite dishes this summer. You know I love fresh mozzarella and have a tendency to apply disproportionate amounts of vinegar to everything, so I probably shouldn't have been too surprised when this dish was delicious. (This went ever so much better than my experiment with raspberry cream cheese and a pumpkin bagel.) Quick: let's have some more people over to eat on our porch, so we can have this again before tomatoes are out of season!
